Some of the best talent in high school football has put pen to paper, beginning their collegiate careers. A trio of highly-rated prospects will be making their way to Fort Worth.

With the 2026 high school football recruiting cycle practically wrapped up following last week's National Signing Day, it's time to look at where TCU lands in the updated Big 12 rankings.

According to 247Sports' composite rankings for this class, the Horned Frogs land at No. 9 in the conference, just behind No. 8 Arizona and ahead of Kansas State in tenth.

Each of TCU's 21 high school signings are from players who played in the state of Texas, showcasing the volume of talent in the state, and just the DFW in particular.

Headlining the incoming class of freshmen are a trio of blue-chip recruits: Carter Buck (Lake Travis), Jason Bradford (Temple) and Amante Martin (Port Arthur Memorial).

Each of the prospects are four-stars rated above 90.0 on 247Sports' prospect metrics.

Here is how the rest of the rankings shake out:

1. Texas Tech Red Raiders

2. BYU Cougars

3. Arizona State Sun Devils

4. West Virginia Mountaineers

5. Utah Utes

6. Oklahoma State Cowboys

7. Houston Cougars

8. Arizona Wildcats

9. TCU Horned Frogs

10. Kansas State Wildcats

11. Colorado Buffaloes

12. Cincinnati Bearcats

13. Baylor Bears

14. Iowa State Cyclones

15. Kansas Jayhawks

16. UCF Knights

Buck, the highest-rated recruit for the Frogs this cycle, is considered one of the best edge rusher prospects to come out of Austin in the last half decade.

"At 6-foot-6, 250-pounds, Buck has been a force for Lake Travis the past three seasons," said recruiting analyst Jeremy Clark. "He had a break out season his junior season in 2024, collecting 78 tackles with 17 tackles for loss and six sacks."

"Buck saw a surge in the latest recruiting rankings for 247Sports. He's now ranked as the No. 21 edge rusher in the nation and No. 27 overall prospect in Texas according to 247Sports."

Why did Buck choose TCU?

"Mostly, just how the coaches have recruited me," Buck said in January. "They made me feel like family and I'm in the family already. It's super close to my house, it's only two hours and 40 minutes from my house. They have great football, great facilities and great education."

“I think we came out of here with exactly what we set out to do," said head coach Sonny Dykes about this year's recruiting class. "I think our scouting and player personnel did an incredible job."
