Rashaun Agee Powers Texas A&M Past Georgia as Aggies Stay Atop SEC Race cover image

Rashaun Agee's double-double and clutch threes ignite Texas A&M's decisive win, solidifying their SEC lead and dominance.

Texas A&M continues to look every bit like a contender in the SEC, and Saturday’s performance only reinforced that belief.

Behind a dominant all-around effort from Rashaun Agee, the Aggies pulled away from the Georgia Bulldogs for a 92-77 home win at Reed Arena in College Station, strengthening their grip on first place in the conference standings.

Agee was superb all afternoon, finishing with 18 points and 15 rebounds to record his 10th double-double of the season.

The junior forward controlled the paint, cleaned the glass, and even delivered a surprise from long range when Texas A&M needed it most. His production anchored an Aggies team that improved to 17-4 overall and 7-1 in SEC play.

The game’s tone was set early when Texas A&M erupted on a massive 22-0 run, overwhelming Georgia on both sides of the floor. The Bulldogs managed just two points during the opening stretch, allowing the Aggies to seize complete control.

By halftime, Texas A&M held a 51-41 lead, fueled by strong ball movement and a steady parade to the free-throw line.

Georgia showed resilience early in the second half, trimming the deficit to single digits. That’s when Agee delivered one of the night’s defining moments.

Entering the game shooting under 20 percent from beyond the arc, he buried two timely 3-pointers to halt Georgia’s momentum and swing the energy back in the Aggies’ favor.

When the Bulldogs cut the lead to 69-66 with just over nine minutes remaining, Texas A&M responded like a veteran team.

Ali Dibba and Jacari Lane knocked down back-to-back 3s, instantly restoring breathing room and quieting any thoughts of a late comeback. From there, the Aggies closed the door by converting 19 of 20 free throws on the night.

Texas A&M’s balance was just as impressive as Agee’s dominance.

Marcus Hill scored 15 points, Ruben Dominguez added 13, and Dibba chipped in 15 off the bench. The Aggies shot 45 percent from the field and improved to a perfect 10-0 this season when scoring at least 90 points.

Georgia, now 16-6 overall and 4-5 in the SEC, was paced by Jeremiah Wilkinson, who finished with 17 points and five assists while setting a career high with two blocks.

Kanon Catchings and Blue Cain added 14 points apiece, and Dylan James posted his first career double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds off the bench.

Texas A&M will put its momentum to the test on Wednesday against the No. 23 Alabama Crimson Tide.
