The Aggies unleash offensive firepower and suffocating defense, aiming to conquer Georgia and solidify their SEC lead with explosive shooting and relentless pressure.

The grind of SEC play continues Saturday as the Texas A&M Aggies hit the road to face the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens, with first place in the conference firmly in their sights.

Texas A&M enters the weekend playing some of its best basketball of the season.

The Aggies sit alone atop the SEC standings at 6-1 and carry a 16-4 overall record after an emphatic win over South Carolina. That victory showcased just how dangerous this team can be when the perimeter shots are falling, as the Aggies poured in 17 3-pointers and flirted with a program record.

One of the breakout performances came from Zach Clemence, who erupted for a career-high 21 points while drilling seven triples. His shooting added another layer to an offense that already ranks among the nation’s most productive.

Texas A&M is averaging 91.8 points per game, good for seventh nationally, and knocks down 11.5 3s per contest, placing them inside the top six across the country.

While the outside shooting grabs headlines, the backbone of the Aggies remains Rashaun Agee.

Agee has been a model of consistency in conference play, averaging 15.3 points and 9.6 rebounds per game against SEC competition. His nine double-doubles this season rank among the best in school history, and his rebounding presence continues to set the tone on both ends of the floor.

The Aggies’ guard play has also surged.

Rylan Griffen has scored in double figures in five straight games and is averaging 15.4 points during that stretch, along with three made threes per outing. Griffen’s impact isn’t limited to scoring as he leads the team in steals and anchors a defense that thrives on pressure.

Texas A&M forces turnovers at an elite level, ranking first among Power Four programs with 15.5 forced turnovers per game and fourth nationally in steals.

Georgia, however, presents a tough road challenge.

The Bulldogs are 16-5 overall and have been competitive in SEC play, most recently pushing Tennessee to overtime.

Still, history favors the Aggies, who have won six straight meetings and own a solid track record in Athens.

Tipoff is set for noon CT on SEC Network.

With momentum, firepower, and defensive intensity on its side, Texas A&M will look to prove its spot atop the SEC is no fluke.
