One of the Texas A&M Aggies' top offensive linemen heads to Buffalo in a recent NFL Mock Draft.

As the NFL Draft quickly approaches, mock drafts are flying off the shelves, and Texas A&M's Chase Bisontis is beginning to see his name come up ... a lot.

Given that the draft has a high number of defensive players and skill-position players set to be taken in the early part of the first round, there hasn't been much love for offensive linemen.

In some mocks, we have seen the likes of Max Iheanachor, Kadyn Proctor, and Spencer Fano taken high, so there is hope for players like Bisontis.

Allowing just 12 pressures and one sack in 795 snaps in 2025 per PFF, whoever drafts Chase is getting a true quarterback protector.

There are a host of teams that are in need of a stud lineman, and it isn't known how the draft will fall.

So Bisontis could go early in the first round, or he could slide.

And for CBS Sports' John Edwards, in his latest mock draft, he has Chase going in the backend of the first round, but I'd imagine he won't mind it.

Why? Because he's headed to Buffalo to protect Josh Allen.

"Buffalo lost David Edwards (no relation) in free agency and now replace him with one of the best pass-blocking offensive guards," Edwards wrote. "Chase Bisontis had a strong performance at the NFL combine."

We know how the Bills love to run the ball under Joe Brady, not to mention the crazy plays Allen can make through the air.

But for both of those things to happen regularly, the offensive line has to hold up.

The Bills lost star lineman David Edwards, and didn't replace him in free agency, which is why this pick for Bisontis makes so much sense.

Allen was sacked just 14 times in 2024, but then last year? Goodness me, it wasn't pretty. Josh was sacked a career-high 40 times.

So getting one of the best pass-protecting guards in college football isn't a bad selection, is it?

Bisontis in Buffalo makes sense, given the franchise's needs and what Chase can bring to the table for Brady.

No, it won't be a flashy or sexy draft pick, but Buffalo doesn't need that.

It needs someone who can help keep No. 17 upright, and Bisontis can do that better than most.
