KC Concepcion is entering his first NFL season with plenty to prove, but the former Texas A&M standout believes he is ready to make an immediate impact with the Cleveland Browns.
After being selected by Cleveland in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, Concepcion is preparing for his first season at the professional level. While he has yet to play an NFL game, the rookie receiver is confident that the experience he gained at Texas A&M has prepared him for the challenge ahead.
"Get your popcorn ready. I'm ready right now," Concepcion has told reporters. "I'm ready to play. I'm ready to change the organization."
Concepcion spent one season with the Aggies after transferring from NC State and quickly became one of the team's most important offensive weapons. He finished the 2025 season with 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdowns while also contributing as a runner and punt returner.
Now, he is looking to carry that versatility into Cleveland.
Concepcion has made it clear that he believes he can be more than just a traditional receiver for the Browns. His ability to line up in different spots and contribute in the return game could give him multiple opportunities to get on the field as a rookie.
The former Aggie also understands that making the jump from college football to the NFL will require continued development. Concepcion has specifically focused on improving his hands after drops were viewed as one of the areas he needed to clean up coming out of college.
Rather than shying away from that criticism, he has embraced the opportunity to improve alongside fellow rookie receiver Denzel Boston out of Washington.
"I know that we are rookies, but I mean, I don't even look at it like that. We're all pros. They brought me and Denzel to make plays. So I mean, we got to make them."
That mindset could be important as Concepcion competes for playing time in a Cleveland receiving room that includes veterans and fellow young players. The Browns will have plenty of opportunities to evaluate their first-round pick throughout training camp and the preseason before determining exactly how large his role will be.
For Concepcion, however, the message is simple: He believes he is ready.
There is still plenty of work ahead before he takes the field for his first regular-season game. But if his confidence is any indication, the former Texas A&M star isn't entering the league simply hoping to contribute.
He expects to make plays.
