Texas A&M fans won’t have to look far to find familiar names across the NFL on Sunday.
Former Aggies are scattered throughout the Week 3 schedule, with De’Von Achane, Mike Evans, Von Miller, Nnamdi Madubuike, Shemar Stewart and Cashius Howell among the most notable Texas A&M products expected to be in action.
Achane remains the headline offensive weapon.
The Miami Dolphins running back enters Sunday’s matchup against Kansas City with 110 rushing yards on 31 carries and seven receptions for 49 yards through two games.
After rushing for 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns last season, Miami needs Achane to regain some of that explosiveness as the Dolphins search for their first victory.
In San Francisco, Mike Evans has already made an impact with his new team.
The longtime Tampa Bay star has nine catches for 103 yards and a touchdown through two games for the 49ers. He is questionable to face Arizona on Sunday alongside another former Aggie receiver, Christian Kirk.
Evans has a hip injury and missed Wednesday and Thursday practice before returning on a limited basis on Friday.
One of the day’s best Texas A&M storylines comes in the Cowboys-Ravens matchup.
Baltimore defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike is expected to return after missing more than a year because of a neck injury.
The two-time Pro Bowler underwent surgery during his recovery and was a full participant in Friday’s practice with no injury designation.
Waiting on the other sideline will be another Aggies legend.
Von Miller, now with Dallas, remains one of the most accomplished defensive players Texas A&M has ever produced and gives Aggies fans a reason to watch both defenses closely.
Cincinnati also features a pair of former A&M defensive linemen in Shemar Stewart and rookie Cashius Howell.
Stewart recorded a sack against Houston last week, while Howell is beginning his first NFL season after a monster final year in College Station in which he produced 11.5 sacks and earned SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Texas A&M’s Saturday may be over, but Aggie football won’t disappear from the spotlight.
