Texas A&M wide receiver Mario Craver is drawing national buzz after a 917-yard season, giving Mike Elko and the Aggies a dynamic new WR1 for 2026.
Texas A&M wide receiver Mario Craver is quickly becoming one of the biggest names to watch entering the 2026 college football season.
With the Aggies replacing major production from last year’s roster, Craver looks poised to take over as the focal point of Mike Elko’s passing attack and give Texas A&M a legitimate College Football Playoff-caliber weapon on the outside.
The Aggies are entering a new era after heavy roster turnover, including the loss of more than 20 players from the 2025 team and 13 starters who earned invitations to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.
That kind of change would rattle most programs, but Texas A&M believes it has the pieces to reload fast. Marcel Reed is back at quarterback, and Craver gives him a proven playmaker who already showed he can produce against top competition.
Last season, Craver finished with 59 catches for 917 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 15.5 yards per reception.
Those numbers only hint at his impact. He’s the kind of receiver who can stretch the field, create separation in space and turn a routine throw into a momentum-shifting play. With KC Concepcion off to the NFL, Craver now steps into the spotlight as the Aggies’ top returning receiving threat.
Texas A&M also added Alabama transfer Isaiah Horton to strengthen the outside receiver spot, which should create even more freedom for Craver to work in the slot, at Z receiver or anywhere new offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins wants to feature him. That versatility could make him one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the SEC.
National attention is already following. Craver recently landed inside CBS Sports’ top 10 rankings of the nation’s most dangerous wide receivers for 2026. If his spring momentum carries into the fall, his breakout may be just getting started.
