Texas A&M welcomed NFL teams to its pro day Tuesday in College Station, but the Cowboys met with several Aggies ahead of the official showcase.
The NFL Draft is quickly approaching and Texas A&M looks primed to send several former Aggies into the league.
The program gave prospective teams more opportunities to scout its talent on Tuesday at its annual Pro Day.
While there were several franchises in attendance, one seemed to take a vested interest in the prospects from College Station.
The Dallas Cowboys made the short trip south and came early, as they hosted a pre-Pro Day dinner for multiple Aggies.
According to TexAgs, Dallas took 11 prospects to an exclusive dinner ahead of any on-the-field action.
The full list of Aggies included KC Concepcion, Cashius Howell, Taurean York, Will Lee, Nate Boerkircher, Chase Bisontis, Trey Zuhn, Albert Regis, Dametrious Crownover, Tyler Onyedim and Scooby Williams.
Dallas holds two first-round picks in the upcoming draft, No. 12 and 20 overall, but no second-round selection.
The Cowboys are heavily expected to focus on defensive additions this year, especially with their early selections.
Aggies star defensive end Cashius Howell falls perfectly in this range in the latest mock draft projections.
He racked up 31 total tackles, including 14 for a loss of 85 yards, 11.5 sacks for 80 yards and a forced fumble.
While Dallas has been projected to be eyeing linebackers as its top priority on the defense, it can use help wherever it can get it.
The Cowboys posted an atrocious defensive unit last season, especially in stopping the run. Howell's presence could provide a much-needed boost to the floundering squad.
While Dallas has focused in on shoring up its historically-weak defense, it could still be in the market for bolstering a high-flying offense that put up a lot of points last season.
Wide receiver KC Concepcion is another Aggie at the Cowboys' exclusive dinner that is projected to be taken off the board right around the area of Dallas' picks.
The George Pickens-Dallas drama seemed to have taken a break after the star wide receiver was franchise tagged this offseason.
However, the move only delayed potential contract extension talks to next season. If Dallas is unable to retain Pickens alongside other superstar CeeDee Lamb, they could be looking for a potential replacement in this year's draft.
Concepcion was a unit for the Aggies last season going for 919 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 61 catches.
Having him learn behind two of the best the NFL has to offer could prepare him to fill the void of Pickens or Lamb in the event that Dallas can't afford to keep them together.
Regardless of who, if anyone, ends up in Dallas from College Station, it seems that the Cowboys will be key players in bringing former Aggies into the professional league.
