Texas A&M baseball powered past Missouri 14-6 behind two home runs each from Gavin Grahovac and Nico Partida to clinch its first SEC series win.
Texas A&M baseball finally has its first SEC series victory of the 2026 season, and the Aggies earned it with authority.
In a 14-6 road win over Missouri on Saturday at Taylor Stadium, Texas A&M overwhelmed the Tigers with power bats, timely hitting and enough relief pitching to slam the door on any comeback hopes.
The Aggies wasted no time getting on the board. Jake Duer delivered an RBI single in the opening frame, and Nico Partida followed with a run-scoring groundout to give Texas A&M an early 2-0 lead.
Missouri answered with a run of its own, but the Aggies quickly turned the game into a rout with a massive offensive outburst over the next few innings.
The breakthrough came in the third, when Texas A&M’s lineup erupted and never let up. Gavin Grahovac crushed a three-run homer during a seven-run inning that completely flipped the game in the Aggies’ favor.
One inning later, Partida launched a two-run shot to stretch the lead even further. By then, Missouri was chasing the game and Texas A&M was in full control.
Grahovac and Partida weren’t finished, either. Both sluggers homered again later in the game, giving each of them a two-homer night and accounting for four of Texas A&M’s 12 hits.
The Aggies finished with 14 runs and looked every bit like a lineup capable of making noise in SEC play when it gets rolling.
On the mound, Weston Moss had an uneven start, allowing four earned runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two.
But Texas A&M got the bullpen response it needed. Gavin Lyons and Grant Cunningham steadied things late, combining to hold Missouri to two earned runs and helping preserve the comfortable lead.
Now the Aggies have a chance to do even more than secure a much-needed conference breakthrough. With momentum finally building, Texas A&M heads into Sunday’s finale looking for a sweep in Columbia.
