Texas A&M baseball beat LSU 7-2 behind Aiden Sims and Gavin Grahovac, clinching its fourth straight SEC series win and moving to 30-7 overall.

Texas A&M baseball kept rolling Saturday with a statement 7-2 win over LSU at Alex Box Stadium, locking up another big SEC series victory and continuing one of the hottest stretches in the conference.

The No. 10 Aggies improved to 30-7 overall and 11-5 in SEC play, while LSU dropped to 23-17 and 6-11.

Behind a sharp outing from Aiden Sims, timely power from Gavin Grahovac and Bear Harrison, and a lineup that kept the pressure on all afternoon, Texas A&M put itself in position for a series sweep on Sunday.

The Aggies wasted no time setting the tone. They broke through in the second inning when Jorian Wilson delivered an RBI single, and Harrison followed by launching a two-run homer to left.

That early burst gave Sims room to work, and the right-hander took full advantage.

Sims turned in one of his best efforts of the season, going 7.0 innings, allowing just three hits and two runs, while striking out six and walking two.

It was his fourth quality start of the year and pushed his record to 7-0. Once he exited, Clayton Freshcorn handled the final two innings and kept LSU quiet to close it out.

At the plate, Grahovac stayed red hot. He finished 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI, stretching his hitting streak to 12 games.

Duer added two hits and an RBI, while Harrison chipped in two RBI and a walk. A&M’s offense totaled 10 hits and five walks, and every starter reached base again, showing just how deep this lineup is right now.

Texas A&M has now matched last season’s 30-win total and taken its fourth straight SEC series.

With the Aggies playing confident, clean baseball, Sunday’s finale gives them a shot to leave Baton Rouge with a sweep and even more momentum.
