No. 9 Texas A&M baseball hosts Prairie View A&M in a midweek matchup as Gavin Grahovac and Caden Sorrell power one of the nation’s top offenses.
No. 9 Texas A&M baseball gets one more chance to flex at home Tuesday night, and on paper, this is exactly the kind of midweek matchup the Aggies should control.
Texas A&M hosts Prairie View A&M at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park to close out a five-game homestand, with the Aggies sitting at 35-10 and still building momentum for the stretch run.
The Panthers enter at 10-35, while Texas A&M owns a perfect 16-0 all-time record in the series.
The Aggies’ offense has been the headline all season, and Gavin Grahovac continues to set the tone. He leads Texas A&M with a .361 batting average, 61 runs, 65 hits and three triples.
He also launched the 41st home run of his career against Auburn, moving into sole possession of eighth place on the program’s all-time home run list.
Caden Sorrell has brought even more thunder to the lineup. His 44th career homer pushed him into Texas A&M’s all-time top five, and his 21 home runs this season give him one of just eight 20-homer campaigns in Aggies history.
That kind of power explains why Texas A&M ranks among the nation’s best in several offensive categories, including slugging percentage, on-base percentage, scoring and home runs.
But this team isn’t just winning with bats. The Aggies’ pitching staff has been elite at limiting free passes, ranking second nationally in walks allowed per nine innings and seventh in strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Tuesday’s game also gives fans a chance to take advantage of a buy-one, get-one general admission ticket promotion, though tickets must be purchased in advance.
For Texas A&M, this is about handling business, staying sharp and keeping postseason energy high. Midweek games can get tricky, but the Aggies have the bats, arms and momentum to avoid drama.
