Texas A&M added 6-4 WR Damani Warren to its 2027 recruiting class, giving Mike Elko another dangerous outside weapon with major upside.
Texas A&M recruiting just added another piece to what’s becoming a monster 2027 class, and this one brings serious size to the Aggies’ future receiver room.
Damani Warren, a rising three-star wide receiver from Nevada, committed to Texas A&M over Michigan and several other programs, giving Mike Elko’s staff its 24th pledge in the 2027 cycle. At 6-4 and over 200 pounds, Warren isn’t some gadget slot piece. He’s built like an outside problem.
And that’s exactly why this commitment matters.
The Aggies already have four-star wide receiver Jayden Upshaw in the class, and they’re still in the mix for five-star wideout Eric McFarland, who is set to announce his commitment Sunday.
If Texas A&M can finish that deal, Holmon Wiggins could be looking at a complete future receiver group ... McFarland in the slot, Upshaw working as the Z, and Warren stretching defenses as a big-bodied X receiver.
Warren isn’t known as a pure burner, but his game has plenty of bite. His release off the line, short-area burst and frame give him the tools to bully defensive backs at the catch point.
He can win vertically, box out smaller corners and turn routine throws into chunk plays once the ball is in his hands.
That profile should sound familiar to Aggies fans. Warren has some of the same developmental traits that once made Mike Evans such a nightmare in College Station.
No, that doesn’t mean Warren is a future Hall of Famer. But the blueprint is easy to see: size, catch radius, physicality and upside.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Warren is ranked as the No. 56 wide receiver nationally and the No. 4 prospect in Nevada.
Texas A&M isn’t just collecting commitments right now. The Aggies are building a future offense with options, mismatches and plenty of bite.
