Texas A&M recruiting is heating up as five-star OL Albert Simien returns to College Station, giving Mike Elko fresh momentum ahead of spring visits.

Texas A&M recruiting is about to grab the spotlight again, and five-star offensive lineman Albert Simien is right in the middle of it.

With Mike Elko’s program ramping up spring activity in College Station, the Aggies are set to host a wave of 2027 talent over the next two weekends, leading into the Maroon & White Spring Game on April 18.

That makes this stretch a major one for Texas A&M football, especially as the staff works to solidify the future of its offensive line.

Simien’s latest trip to campus is another sign that the Aggies remain in a strong position with one of the top trench prospects in the 2027 class.

The elite lineman has become one of Adam Cushing’s biggest recruiting priorities, and the relationship appears to be trending in the right direction.

Texas A&M has stayed visible, stayed consistent and continued to build trust with Simien and the people around him, which matters in a recruitment this important.

Texas A&M is reworking its offensive front for 2026 after losing four starters, leaning on four SEC transfer additions to stabilize the group.

That makes landing premier high school linemen in 2027 even more critical for long-term roster building.

The Aggies already have momentum with four-star tackles DeMarrion Johnson and Kaeden Scott, and adding a player with Simien’s profile would give the class even more punch.

Recruiting wins up front rarely create the same flash as a quarterback commitment, but they often shape what a program becomes. For Elko, that’s the bigger picture here.

If Simien leaves this visit even more sold on Texas A&M, the Aggies could be one step closer to building a 2027 offensive line class with SEC size, national credibility and the kind of foundation that wins big games.
