Texas A&M recruiting may not be done making noise in the 2027 class, especially at wide receiver.
The Aggies are already off to a fast start, and now two of the most electric pass catchers in the cycle are drawing even more attention around the program with five-star receiver Erik McFarland and fast-rising standout Dakota Guerrant.
Both prospects were in Dallas for the Overtime OT7 Finals, one of the premier offseason stages for elite skill talent, and both continue to be linked heavily to Texas A&M.
McFarland, the explosive IMG Academy playmaker, is already trending toward the Aggies in some recruiting circles and has an official visit to College Station lined up for May 28.
That visit could be a huge checkpoint in a recruitment that also includes national powers like Ohio State, USC, and Georgia.
Guerrant is a little different, but just as intriguing. The Michigan product has been climbing fast in the 2027 rankings and brings a very different profile than McFarland.
While McFarland’s game is built on burst, quickness, and big-play ability, Guerrant gives off the look of a long, physical outside target.
At 6-1, he already plays bigger than his listed size and has built a reputation as the kind of receiver who wins contested catches and turns tough throws into completions.
There was also another small detail that caught attention. Before taking the field at OT7, both McFarland and Guerrant were spotted wearing Texas A&M gloves. That doesn’t guarantee anything, of course, but in recruiting, little signals tend to get noticed, especially when they involve two major targets at the same position.
The Aggies already hold 10 commitments in the 2027 class and are positioning themselves for a potentially elite haul.
If McFarland and Guerrant eventually join the fold, Texas A&M’s future passing game could go from promising to downright dangerous.
And if that happens, the Aggies won’t just be winning recruits, they’ll be building one of the most explosive classes in the country.
