Texas A&M recruiting enters a high-stakes stretch as five major targets, including Albert Simien and Joshua Dobson, near commitment calls soon.

Texas A&M recruiting is about to get loud again, even with the dead period shutting down campus visits.

The Aggies have already built serious momentum on the trail, but the next few weeks could decide whether Mike Elko’s staff turns a strong class into a national statement.

Five Texas A&M targets have public commitment dates locked in, and several others could move before the summer cools off. That means the Aggies aren’t just waiting around.

They’re sitting in the middle of some heavyweight recruiting fights against LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, South Carolina and Texas.

The first big swing comes Friday, June 26, with 5-star offensive lineman Albert Simien. The Louisiana standout is ranked No. 19 nationally, No. 2 among interior offensive linemen and No. 3 in his state by the Rivals Industry Rankings.

His finalists are LSU, Notre Dame and Texas A&M, which makes this one feel like a true SEC street fight with national muscle attached.

Also set for June 26 is wide receiver Damani Warren, a Nevada playmaker ranked No. 409 nationally and No. 57 at his position.

Warren’s finalists are Texas A&M and Michigan, and the Aggies appear to have made a real impression during his official visit. His family’s comfort level in College Station could matter here, especially with A&M trying to add more juice to its future receiver room.

Two days later, on Sunday, June 28, the Aggies will find out where they stand with Eric McFarland.

He’s not just another wideout. McFarland is ranked No. 33 overall, No. 6 at wide receiver and No. 5 in Florida. Florida and Georgia are also in the mix, but A&M has sold him on the chance to become a difference-maker inside a program trying to win big.

Then comes the monster announcement: 5-star cornerback Joshua Dobson on Wednesday, July 1. Dobson is ranked No. 11 nationally, No. 3 at cornerback and No. 1 in South Carolina.

Auburn, Michigan, South Carolina and Texas A&M are all finalists, but Dobson’s repeated trips to College Station and strong relationships with the staff keep the Aggies firmly in the fight.

Linebacker Mikahi Allen is scheduled for Saturday, July 11. The New Jersey defender checks in at No. 200 nationally and No. 17 among linebackers, with Syracuse, Texas and Texas A&M viewed as the key contenders.

Beyond those dates, running backs Landen Williams-Callis and SaRod Baker remain names to watch. Williams-Callis has Texas buzz around him, while Baker is still committed to Texas Tech but has continued listening to A&M. Athlete Jaiden Fields is another July possibility.

The dead period may be quiet on campus, but for Texas A&M recruiting, this stretch could be anything but quiet.
