Texas A&M’s NFL pipeline is surging in 2026, with established stars starting, rookies climbing depth charts and 10 draft picks pushing for major roles this fall
Texas A&M football is making some serious noise on 2026 NFL depth charts, and the Aggies’ footprint goes far beyond a couple of familiar stars.
From established veterans like Myles Garrett, De’Von Achane and Jake Matthews to a massive rookie class already pushing for playing time, Texas A&M’s NFL pipeline looks stronger than it has in years.
The Aggies tied a program record with 10 players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, and several of them aren’t being treated like developmental projects.
They’re already knocking on the door.
The biggest rookie name might be KC Concepcion, the first-round receiver now with Cleveland. The No. 24 overall pick entered camp positioned atop the depth chart in the slot, giving him an immediate opportunity to become one of the Browns’ primary offensive weapons.
That’s exactly the kind of early impact Texas A&M can sell on the recruiting trail, and Concepcion isn’t alone.
Offensive lineman Chase Bisontis has worked his way into Arizona’s two-deep at right guard, while pass rusher Cashius Howell is sitting in Cincinnati’s defensive-line rotation. Tight end Nate Boerkircher is pushing for snaps in Jacksonville, and defensive lineman Tyler Onyedim has already cracked Denver’s second unit.
Then there’s Trey Zuhn III, battling at right tackle for Las Vegas, Albert Regis providing interior defensive-line depth in Jacksonville and cornerback Will Lee III putting himself in position to contribute in Carolina.
That’s a lot of maroon showing up on NFL depth charts. And the veteran group remains loaded.
De’Von Achane continues to sit atop Miami’s running back depth chart and remains one of the league’s most explosive offensive players. Edgerrin Cooper has established himself as a starting linebacker in Green Bay, while longtime veterans Jake Matthews in Atlanta and Erik McCoy in New Orleans continue to anchor NFL offensive lines.
On defense, the Aggies still boast some major names.
Myles Garrett remains one of the sport’s premier pass rushers, Nnamdi Madubuike is a centerpiece up front, and Bobby Brown III has developed into a starting-caliber interior defender.
There’s even another wave fighting for roster security.
Players such as Jaylon Jones, Demani Richardson, Shemar Turner, McKinnley Jackson and Layden Robinson enter the heart of preseason with something to prove. Their depth-chart positions aren’t guaranteed, and NFL cutdown season can be ruthless, but all remain part of a Texas A&M presence that stretches across the league.
That’s really the bigger story.
Texas A&M doesn’t just have one superstar carrying the NFL banner anymore. The Aggies have starters, rotational players, rookies climbing quickly and younger players trying to force their way onto 53-man rosters.
For Mike Elko and Texas A&M, that matters.
College football recruiting is increasingly about showing prospects a pathway to Sunday. Right now, the Aggies can point directly at NFL depth charts and make the pitch themselves.
The NFL is littered with former Texas A&M players. And the next wave is already coming.
