Texas A&M softball earned the No. 15 national seed and will host UConn, Arizona State and McNeese in the College Station Regional.

Texas A&M softball is staying home for the start of the NCAA Tournament, and the Aggies have a national seed to defend.

The Aggies were awarded the No. 15 national seed in the 2026 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament and will host the College Station Regional beginning Friday, May 15, at Davis Diamond. Texas A&M enters postseason play at 36-17 and will open regional action against Big East champion UConn, which comes in at 31-26.

First pitch between Texas A&M and UConn is scheduled for 1 p.m. on ESPN2. The other regional matchup features Arizona State, the Big 12 Tournament champion, against McNeese, the Southland Tournament champion, at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

It’s another major postseason moment for a Texas A&M program that has built one of the most consistent NCAA Tournament résumés in college softball. The Aggies are making their 36th NCAA Tournament appearance and their 24th consecutive trip, which ranks as the seventh-longest active streak in the country.

Hosting has also become familiar territory in College Station. This marks the 18th time Texas A&M has hosted an NCAA Regional and the third straight season Davis Diamond will serve as a postseason site. It’s the Aggies’ first three-year regional hosting run since 2011-13.

That home-field edge has mattered. Texas A&M owns a strong 38-10 record when hosting regional play, a number that should give the Aggies confidence heading into a competitive four-team bracket.

Fans are expected to move quickly for tickets. 12th Man Foundation donors receive first access to all-session tickets following the NCAA Selection Show, with remaining all-session passes scheduled to go on sale to the general public on Monday at 10 a.m.
