Texas A&M junior Mya Perez capped a monster season with NFCA First Team All-America honors after reaching base in 55 of 57 games.
Texas A&M softball star Mya Perez just added another major line to a ridiculous junior season.
Perez was named to the NFCA All-America First Team, giving the Aggies one of the nation’s most dangerous bats official national recognition.
And honestly, the numbers made this one hard to ignore. Perez played in 57 games and reached base in 55 of them, building an NCAA-best 55-game on-base streak that turned every opposing pitching plan into a problem.
She finished the year ranked fourth nationally with a .602 on-base percentage and 25th in slugging percentage at .893.
In the SEC, Perez led the league in on-base percentage and ranked fifth in slugging, proving her production wasn’t built on soft competition.
Perez collected 58 hits, and half of them went for extra bases. She crushed a career-high 19 home runs, added 10 doubles and finished with a .414 batting average.
Both her 19 homers and .414 average rank seventh in Texas A&M program history.
Her patience was just as nasty as her power. Perez drew 54 walks, the second-most in a single season by an Aggie. During SEC play, she set a school record with 31 walks and reached by walk in 16 of 24 conference games.
She also led the league in SEC-only on-base percentage at .611 and walks, while ranking second in hit-by-pitches and sixth in OPS at 1.296.
This is now back-to-back NFCA All-America recognition for Perez, making her the first Texas A&M player to do that since Haley Lee in 2021 and 2022.
Perez also earned NFCA All-Central Region First Team and All-SEC First Team honors, landed as a Top 25 finalist for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and picked up second-team All-America honors from D1 Softball and Softball America.
That’s not a hot streak. That’s superstar status.
