Texas A&M women’s golf arrives at the NCAA Waco Regional with the kind of season résumé that demands attention.

The Aggies are the No. 1 seed at Ridgewood Country Club and ranked No. 4 nationally, giving Gerrod Chadwell’s team a clear path to chase a return trip to the NCAA Championship.

The mission is straightforward but hardly easy. Texas A&M must finish inside the top five after 54 holes of stroke play from May 11-13 to advance out of a tough regional field that includes Oregon, Tennessee, SMU, Baylor, LSU and TCU.

The Aggies have already tied the program record with five tournament wins this season, and they’ll lean heavily on sophomore Vanessa Borovilos.

The Canadian standout is ranked No. 11 in the Scoreboard rankings and No. 21 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

She has been named to the WGCA Player of the Year and ANNIKA Award watch lists after a season that includes one victory at the Moon Golf Invitational and three runner-up finishes, including her last two starts at the SEC Championship and “Mo” Morial Invitational.

Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio gives Texas A&M another proven top-end player. The All-SEC First Team selection is ranked No. 21 by Scoreboard and helps make the Aggies one of the deepest teams in the regional.

Sky Sudberry, Brynn Kort and Natalie Yen round out the lineup, with Louise Reau traveling as the alternate.

Kort has already made a quick impact as a freshman, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors after recording four top-10 finishes.

This marks Texas A&M’s 33rd NCAA postseason appearance and fifth under Chadwell. With elite depth, star power and plenty of momentum, the Aggies enter Waco looking like a team built for a long May run.
