Texas A&M's Cashius Howell channels Ray Lewis' intensity, aiming for NFL greatness. He aims to emulate the Hall of Famer's dominating presence on the field.

The NFL season has concluded with the Seattle Seahawks besting the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, which means that it is time top start looking to the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft.

Texas A&M has a number of guys that could have their name called in Pittsburgh, and the player who has the chance to go the highest of any of the Aggies is edge rusher Cashius Howell.

In an appearance on Pro Football Talk Live at the NFL Scouting Combine, Howell talked to Chris Simms and Mike Florio about what he will bring to the team that drafts him. He was also asked about any NFL players who idolized growing up, and the Aggies star had quite the idol.

"I didn't start playing defensive end until my sophomore year of high school, but I think the main guy that I used to like to watch was Ray Lewis," Howell said. "I like the type of intensity that he brought to the game... I wanted to emulate his game and his intensity."

The Baltimore Ravens Hall of Famer is one of, if not the most dominant force the middle linebacker position has ever seen, so it is safe to say that he is one heck of a player to emulate your game after.

Obviously, Howell is a different position than Lewis was, but he can still try to channel the energy that the legendary linebacker took the field with.

And it's safe to say that he did that in his final season with the Aggies.

Howell finished his senior year with 31 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 11.5 sacks. He was also able to show his versatility by defending six passes and forcing a fumble, all of which helped him be named an All-American.

Edge rusher is one of the positions that a lot of NFL teams are on the lookout for in the NFL Draft, and Howell would be one heck of a prize to any club that decides to draft him in the top 20 or so where he is currently projected to go.

The Texas A&M star is one of the best defensive prospects in this year's class, and he sure picked one heck of a player to emulate his game after.

Coincidence? We think not.
