Hornung winner Concepcion and SEC DPOY Howell power Aggies' CFP push as consensus All-Americans.

The rest of college football is just now catching up to what Texas A&M fans have known all season ... KC Concepcion and Cashius Howell are absolute problems.

Now the nation has put it in ink.

The dynamic wide receiver/return specialist and the relentless edge rusher have both been named consensus All-Americans, cementing their place among the game's elite and putting another spotlight on an Aggies team chasing a national title.

For Concepcion, the honor caps one of the most electric debut campaigns College Station has seen in years.

He didn't just touch the ball; he tilted the field every time he did. Concepcion led the Aggies in receiving with 57 catches for 886 yards and nine touchdowns, routinely bailing out the offense in high-leverage moments.

But his true superpower showed up on special teams, where he turned punt returns into live-action fireworks.

Concepcion took back 24 punts for 460 yards and two touchdowns, including house calls in the opener against UTSA and a massive spark in the win over LSU.

That versatility earned him the prestigious Paul Hornung Award, making him the first Aggie ever to win it and the first SEC player to grab the honor since DeVonta Smith's legendary 2020 season. Now he adds "consensus All-American" to a body of work that already feels like a video game.

On the other side of the ball, Howell has been the heartbeat of Mike Elko's defense. The SEC Defensive Player of the Year became the first Aggie to earn that title despite names like Myles Garrett and Justin Madubuike passing through Aggieland since 2012.

Howell piled up 11.5 sacks, the most by an A&M player in a season since Landis Durham in 2017, living in opposing backfields and wrecking game plans every Saturday.

Elko has called Howell one of the "OGs" of this defense, a guy who believed in the vision early, then did the work to grow into a star.

That buy-in is now paying off on the biggest stage.

And the best part for Aggies fans? Concepcion and Howell aren't done yet. They'll get at least one more chance to showcase their game-breaking impact when Texas A&M hosts the Miami Hurricanes in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Saturday morning at Kyle Field.

With two consensus All-Americans leading the charge, the Aggies look every bit like a team ready to finish this story with confetti.
