All eyes will be on the SEC Tournament champions and star senior Madison Booker.
The Texas Longhorns women's basketball season officially begins against Farleigh Dickinson at the Moody Center in Austin on Nov. 4.
This week, the SEC and national broadcast partners announced the conference schedule.
The Longhorns are among the biggest tickets, with 13 of their 16 SEC games this season scheduled to be broadcast on linear national networks.
In total, Vic Schaefer's program will be a part of 20 national broadcasts throughout the 2026-27 season.
On the ESPN family of networks (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network), the Longhorns' seven non-conference games against Louisville, Duke, UCLA, Ohio State and TCU will be nationally televised, underscoring the Longhorns' place as a premier athletic department and women's basketball power.
Texas tied for the fewest total losses last season (34-4) among SEC competitors and finished as runner-up in the conference behind South Carolina. The Longhorns rebounded, however, in the postseason by beating the Gamecocks in the SEC Tournament.
The Longhorns' and Gamecocks' only meeting this upcoming season is on Jan. 3 in Austin. The game will air live on ABC.
Texas reached the NCAA Final Four before falling to the eventual-national champion Bruins, who took down South Carolina in the title game in April.
The Final Four berth was the fifth in school history for a Longhorns program that reached 35 wins in back-to-back seasons under Schaefer for the first time ever.
The Longhorns return one of the best players in college basketball this season in Madison Booker, the All-American forward who posted averages of 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists on over 50 percent shooting from the field.
