Bryant, who saw the Texas Longhorns' spring camp highlights, has made it known to coach Steve Sarkisian that Bishop is a special talent.
One thing that former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant knows is how to play receiver, so when Dez talks about wideouts, we listen.
And Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian might be wise to at least entertain what Bryant is saying about one of his players, Jermaine Bishop.
The speedy receiver reportedly put on a show at the Longhorns' spring camp, with his home-run speed and crisp route-running a feature.
So much so that Dez took to social media to tell Sarkisian that he shouldn't wait to put Bishop on the field.
But that's not all.
Back on March 12, Dez also posted on social media about Bishop, making a telling statement about the speedy receiver.
"I want to go on record and say Jermaine Bishop will be Texas Longhorns #1 WR," Dez posted. "The eye test doesn't lie. He's oozing with confidence..I can tell by the way he carries himself. He already runs routes like a pro. Legit playmaker.. I'm looking forward to watching him perform this year."
So for a star receiver like Bryant, to say that about a player who hasn't played college football yet, that's quite the endorsement.
Looking at Bishop's high school stats from last season, it is something out of Madden.
Per 247 Sports, Bishop posted 1,940 yards and 20 TDs from 120 receptions. That's outstanding, but wait, there's more.
He also had 424 rushing yards and 8 TDs on 45 carries, and he played defense, racking up 9 tackles for loss and 4 interceptions, along with 77 tackles.
That is quite a season.
Now, after starring for the Longhorns at their spring camp, it does feel like Arch Manning has got himself quite the weapon.
Looking at his high school stats, coupled with the numerous videos we have seen of his workouts online, it is easy to see why Dez has been so vocal in his support of Bishop.
He is a walking highlight reel that will give the Longhorns a home-run threat on any play.
I can't imagine Sarkisian will wait too long before unleashing Bishop in 2026, and if he does, I'd think Dez might have a quiet word.
