The Atlanta star vaults into the top tier of running backs, securing a 95 overall grade as the game’s fourth-best backfield weapon following a dominant season for the Falcons.
Former Texas Longhorns star Bijan Robinson continues to cement himself among the NFL's elite, and now one of football's biggest video game franchises has recognized his rise.
EA Sports has given Robinson a 95 overall rating in Madden NFL 27, making him the fourth-highest rated running back in this year's game.
The former Longhorn has steadily climbed the ratings ladder since entering the league, and his latest jump reflects the dominant season he put together for the Atlanta Falcons. Robinson has quickly become one of the NFL's premier offensive weapons thanks to his ability to impact games both as a runner and a receiver, giving defenses problems every time he touches the football.
Only Jahmyr Gibbs, Christian McCaffrey, and Jonathan Taylor earned higher overall ratings than Robinson entering Madden 27.
While debates over player ratings are inevitable every year, landing fourth overall is another indication that Robinson has established himself as one of the NFL's biggest stars just three seasons into his professional career.
For Texas fans, Robinson's continued success comes as no surprise. During his time in Austin, he showcased the same blend of vision, explosiveness, balance, and receiving ability that made him one of the nation's most exciting players. He left the Longhorns as one of the program's most accomplished running backs before becoming a first-round NFL Draft selection.
Since making the jump to the professional level, Robinson has lived up to the lofty expectations that surrounded him coming out of Texas. His highlight-reel runs, ability to force missed tackles, and versatility in the passing game have made him the centerpiece of Atlanta's offense and one of the faces of the NFL.
Madden ratings are always a topic of conversation among players and fans alike, and Robinson's 95 overall places him firmly in the upper tier of the game's best stars. While some may argue he deserves to rank even higher after his recent production, there's little debate that he belongs in the conversation with the league's elite backs.
For the Longhorns program, Robinson's latest accolade is another reminder of the NFL talent developed in Austin. As Texas continues producing professional stars, Robinson remains one of the school's brightest ambassadors, carrying the Longhorn legacy onto one of football's biggest stages—both on Sundays and now in Madden NFL 27.
