Refined mechanics and newfound mental toughness have Arch Manning oised for a dominant final season as he prepares to lead a loaded Longhorns offense toward NFL stardom.
Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning will enter the new college season as one of the best quarterback prospects in the nation.
After leading the Longhorns to a Citrus Bowl win over Michigan, along with throwing for over 3,000 yards, 26 TDs, seven interceptions plus 10 rushing touchdowns, Arch proved his talent last year.
Of course, there were some struggles along the way, losing to Ohio State and Florida, but for the most part, Arch was as advertised.
Now, with another full offseason behind him, the expectations have only gotten bigger for Manning, ahead of what is likely to be his final college season before making his way to the NFL.
Already seen as one of, if not the best, quarterback prospects in college, what Arch does in 2026, barring a complete meltdown, will only enhance his credentials as a top draft pick.
And for his head coach, Steve Sarkisian, he detailed the biggest improvement in Manning's game and made a statement that will have Longhorns fans excited for what's to come.
"The thing that I've seen from Arch, I just saw some more video of him throwing the past couple of days in New Orleans with the guys, gosh fundamentally, he's so much cleaner right now," Sarkisian said via Fox 26 Houston.
"He has really worked hard at this, and that's going to really help him from an accuracy standpoint, especially in the short to intermediate game. The thing I think he learned about himself, he had some real adversity last year, and this guy found out about himself.
"We're fortunate to have Arch back this year, I think he's poised for a big-time season."

Given the weapons around Arch like Cam Coleman, Raleek Brown, and an offensive line that has two studs in Trevor Goosby and Brandon Baker, the Longhorns have all the tools on offense to be an elite unit.
But the buck starts and stops with Arch. We all know that.
Last season, we saw glimpses of what he could become, and I'd imagine this year we're going to see more good than bad.
Of course, success in football is never linear, and Arch will have tough moments, but going by Sarkisian's words, Manning is in a much better spot to handle those than he was a year ago.
Is a big-time season coming from Arch? You wouldn't bet against it.
