Coleman transferred from Auburn and is already being looked at as one of the best receivers in college football ahead of the draft.
When watching the Texas Longhorns in 2026, many will gravitate to Arch Manning and rightly so. He's the quarterback and has "the" name that everyone in football respects.
But there is another weapon that the Longhorns have that could be about to make some serious noise.
And that's receiver Cam Coleman.
Transferring to the Longhorns after two good seasons at Auburn, posting 1,306 yards and 13 TDs, he now comes to an offense that has one of the best quarterbacks in college football.
So, it is only natural to think that Coleman's game is going to be elevated, right?
Averaging 14.0 yards per reception across his two years with the Tigers, it is clear Coleman is a chain-mover and a player that the Longhorns will no doubt work extremely hard to get the ball to.
Of course, this will be his first year in the Texas offense, so some growing pains could be forthcoming, at least early on.
However, for ESPN duo Matt Miller and Jordan Reid, in naming the top five wide receiver prospects entering the 2026 season, both have Coleman at No. 2, behind Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith.
But what will Coleman bring to the table for him to be the second-best receiver in college football?
Draft experts love his home-run speed and ability to get down the field and stretch defenses vertically.
He is also a contested-catch monster, so Arch will likely be heaving balls downfield to Coleman, and while the defender might see it as a 50-50 ball, Cam will make it a 70-30 ball for the offense.
Having a player who can do that, but also be a nightmare to match up on one-on-one, you better believe the Longhorns will be getting the ball to Coleman early and often in 2026.
Coleman, by all accounts, is set to be Manning's "go-to" guy on the outside, so defenses will have a tough time trying to curtail his influence on games.
If Miller and Reid both see Coleman as being one of the best weapons in football, it makes sense for the Longhorns to feed him targets, and a lot of them.
