Texas Longhorns football just grabbed another preseason flex, and this one carries some real historical weight.
The 2026 Walter Camp preseason All-American teams are out, and Texas leads the nation with five selections, more than any other program in college football.
That’s one of the oldest and most respected All-America lists in the sport, putting a giant burnt-orange spotlight on Steve Sarkisian’s roster.
The Longhorns landed four first-team selections and one second-team pick, with quarterback Arch Manning headlining the group.
Manning was named the first-team quarterback, adding even more fuel to what already feels like one of the most watched individual seasons in recent Texas history.
He’s joined on the first-team offense by offensive tackle Trevor Goosby, giving Texas a big-time presence at the two most important offensive spots: quarterback and blind-side protection.
The defense got plenty of love, too. Defensive end Colin Simmons and linebacker Rasheem Biles both earned first-team honors, giving the Longhorns two violent, tone-setting pieces on that side of the ball. Simmons, in particular, is already carrying massive NFL buzz and could be one of the most disruptive defenders in the country.
Wide receiver Cam Coleman rounded out the Texas group as a second-team offensive selection.
Coleman is one of the two transfers on the list for the Longhorns, and his inclusion says plenty about the expectations surrounding his first season in Austin.
The bigger picture is even louder.
Four of the five Texas players honored are viewed as potential top-four picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, with some projections putting Longhorns in position to own the top of the board.
Walter Camp’s All-America team dates back to 1889, so this isn’t just another preseason list to scroll past. It’s a national credibility stamp.
For Texas, the message is simple: the roster isn’t just good. It’s loaded.
