Texas football has entered the race for 2029 tight end Caiden Snow, giving Steve Sarkisian another early recruiting target in a fast-rising class.

Texas football is already looking well beyond the next few recruiting cycles, and the Longhorns made that clear by extending an early offer to 2029 tight end Caiden Snow.

The Indiana prospect is still in the early stages of his recruitment, but Texas is wasting no time trying to establish itself as a serious player in what could become a crowded national battle.

For Steve Sarkisian and his staff, that kind of early move is important.

Texas has built a reputation for identifying skill talent early, and Snow is the latest young prospect to draw attention from major programs.

Even as a freshman, he’s already pulled offers from schools including Ohio State, Tennessee, SMU, Texas Tech, Purdue, Kentucky, Indiana and Boston College. That list is likely to keep growing as more programs begin turning their attention toward the 2029 class.

The Longhorns’ pitch to Snow is easy to see. Texas has become a strong place for tight end development, and that track record could carry weight once visits begin.

Gunnar Helm’s path to the NFL and Jack Endries’ draft profile give the staff recent examples of how the position can thrive in Austin. For a young player like Snow, that kind of development history can be a major selling point.

Of course, getting an offer out early is only the first step. The bigger task now is bringing Snow to campus once he starts lining up visits.

That part of the process often shapes how real a contender a program becomes, especially for underclassmen who are still learning what they want from a school and coaching staff.

Texas is also staying active with other 2029 prospects, including Jairus Ingram and BJ LaFell, as the Longhorns continue laying the foundation for another strong future class.

Snow is still a long way from making a college decision, but Texas has made sure it won’t be late to the conversation.
