Texas softball crushed Baylor 7-0 behind Teagan Kavan’s three-hit shutout and four home runs to reach another NCAA Super Regional.
Texas softball is headed back to the NCAA Super Regional round, and the Longhorns didn’t exactly sneak through the door. No. 3 Texas hammered Baylor 7-0 in the Austin Regional Final at McCombs Field, riding Teagan Kavan’s complete-game shutout and a four-homer power show.
Kavan was ruthless in the circle.

The junior right-hander improved to 24-4 after allowing just three hits, striking out five and walking nobody.
After Baylor opened the game with an infield single, Kavan retired the next 16 batters and never let the Bears build real pressure.
The Texas lineup gave her plenty of room to breathe. Katie Stewart set the tone immediately with a two-run blast in the first inning, then added another homer later for her fourth multi-home run game of the season.
Stewart reached base all four times, drove in three runs and pushed her school-record season total to 27 home runs.
Kayden Henry kept swinging a hot bat, going 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI.
Reese Atwood joined the party in the sixth with her 18th homer of the season and 73rd of her Texas career, extending her program record.
The Longhorns finished with 11 hits and outscored opponents 25-1 across the Austin Regional.
Texas has now won seven straight games, including six in the postseason, and owns 13 consecutive NCAA Regional victories.
The win also added another massive line to Mike White’s résumé. Texas advanced to its seventh straight NCAA Super Regional, the longest run in program history.

White has now reached 16 consecutive Super Regionals as a head coach, tying Oklahoma’s Patty Gasso for the longest streak in NCAA history.
