Texas women’s golf opens the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional led by Farah O’Keefe, Lauren Kim and a lineup packed with elite amateur talent.

Texas women’s golf begins its push toward the NCAA Championship this week at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, where the No. 5 Longhorns will compete May 11-13 at UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The format is simple, but the pressure is real: three rounds of stroke play, with the top five teams advancing to the national championship.

Texas will send out a loaded lineup featuring Farah O’Keefe, Lauren Kim, Cindy Hsu, Selina Liao and Angela Heo, with Vivian Lu serving as the alternate.

The regional field includes No. 12 North Carolina, No. 17 Mississippi State, No. 20 Oklahoma State, Kent State, Virginia, Michigan State, NC State, High Point, Furman, Richmond and Howard.

The Longhorns enter with star power at the top. O’Keefe has put together one of the best seasons in college golf, winning three times and finishing inside the top 10 in all 10 collegiate events she has played this season.

She’s also on the postseason watch list for the ANNIKA Award and is one of 12 players on the WGCA Player of the Year watch list.

O’Keefe is ranked No. 4 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, while Kim is No. 15 and Hsu is No. 28. O’Keefe and Kim were also selected for the 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup, with O’Keefe representing Team USA for the third time and Kim earning her second Team International nod.

Texas has already shown championship-level form this season, winning the Betsy Rawls Invitational and Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. O’Keefe captured individual titles at both events.

Now the Longhorns are chasing another national-stage opportunity after advancing to the NCAA Championship for nine straight seasons and 33 times overall.
