Madison Booker, Rori Harmon Earn Wooden Award Top 20 Watch List Honors cover image

Texas women’s basketball continues to command national attention as Madison Booker and Rori Harmon were both named to the 2026 Wooden Award Late Midseason Top 20 Watch List.

The honor places the Longhorn duo squarely in the conversation for the John R. Wooden Award Women’s Player of the Year, one of the most coveted individual awards in college basketball.

Harmon’s legacy in Austin is already cemented.

The senior guard is the program’s all-time assist leader with 894 career assists, surpassing a record that stood for four decades - and she’s added another 118 assists beyond that mark.

She also owns the Texas career steals record with 351. For her career, Harmon has totaled 1,508 points, 610 rebounds and nearly 900 assists, showcasing her impact on every level of the game.

This season, her decision-making has been elite, posting 163 assists to just 37 turnovers. Her 4.41 assist-to-turnover ratio ranks second nationally, a testament to her poise and control.

Booker, the reigning SEC Player of the Year, continues to elevate her game. The junior forward is averaging career highs across the board with 19.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest while shooting an efficient 50.5 percent from the field.

She has already scored 20 or more points nine times this season and 37 times in her career. With 1,688 career points, Booker sits 14th on the Texas all-time scoring list and is just 20 points away from cracking the top 10.

Fresh off winning her fourth gold medal with USA Basketball at the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup, Booker and Harmon now lead Texas into the stretch run as legitimate Wooden Award contenders and national championship threats.
