With a Week 2 matchup on the docket, a must-see matchup inside one of the biggest games of the year is Buckeyes cornerback Devin Sanchez and Longhorns wide receiver Cam Coleman.
All eyes in Week 2 of the college football season will dawn on Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin as the No. 1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes come to town to face the No. 4 Texas Longhorns.
It's a series that saw Ohio State claim two victories in the 2025 calendar year, the first of which was for a trip to the national championship game that the Buckeyes ultimately won.
As the series shifts to Austin after a 14-7 win in Columbus to start last season, the Longhorns return one of the nation's top quarterbacks in Arch Manning, along with his new cohort of playmakers on offense: new running backs Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown, and top transfer wide receiver Cam Coleman.
The latter comes to Texas after a stellar career at Auburn, where he hauled in 93 catches and over 1,300 yards in two seasons.
He is expected to line up against Ohio State's top cover man, former 5-star cornerback recruit Devin Sanchez.
Last year as a freshman, Sanchez appeared in 13 games, made 12 total tackles and recorded two passes defensed. Assuming a larger role this season - and returning to his home state of Texas for this battle with the Longhorns early in the year - Sanchez has issued his warning to Coleman.
"My first thought when I saw the schedule was Cam Coleman Week 2, Charlie Becker with Indiana, and then obviously, my boy Dakorien Moore at Oregon and Evan Stewart," Sanchez said.
"When that whistle blow, that whole 60 minutes, it's gonna be no friendship. I gotta go out there and I gotta beat you."
Last season, the Buckeyes went 5-0 in true road games, and Sanchez's confidence is evident in how he's mentally preparing for his top opponents.
But Coleman presents no small task. The 6-3 wideout is one of the game's best deep threats, and his catch radius is as wide as they come ... which happened to go viral this week with a ridiculous one-handed snag at practice.
In a battle of titans, this matchup between Coleman on the outside will be must-see TV ... and could dictate who gets the last laugh in this competitive series.
