Texas Tech baseball gets another chance to steady its Big 12 season this weekend when Oklahoma State visits Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park for a three-game series in Lubbock.
The Red Raiders enter at 22-19 overall and 6-12 in Big 12 play, but they’re coming off two much-needed midweek wins.

Texas Tech beat Tarleton State 13-3 on Tuesday, then handled Abilene Christian 9-1 on Wednesday.
Now, the challenge gets tougher against an Oklahoma State team sitting at 25-16 and 8-10 in conference action.
All three games are scheduled for 1 p.m. because of the George Strait concerts in Lubbock. Fans without Lot C3 or Dan Law East parking permits are encouraged to park free at the John Walker Soccer Complex and use complimentary shuttles to the ballpark on Friday and Saturday.
On the field, Texas Tech is trying to snap a six-game losing streak against Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys took two Big 12 Tournament games from the Red Raiders across 2023 and 2024, along with both games of a rain-shortened series in Stillwater last season.
Tech’s offense appears to be waking back up. The Red Raiders are 30-for-70 this week, good for a .429 average, with 22 runs scored and only nine strikeouts in 15 innings.
Kyler Thompson has led the surge, going 5-for-7 with five runs and three steals, while Linkin Garcia is 5-for-9 with three runs and two RBIs.
Tracer Lopez also remains hot. The senior has raised his average to .358 and recently became just the fourth player in program history with at least 210 hits and 200 games played.
Friday’s opener features Texas Tech right-hander Jonny Lowe against Oklahoma State lefty Ethan Lund. Jackson Burns gets the ball Saturday, while Sunday’s starters remain to be announced.
For the Red Raiders, this is a big weekend to turn momentum into something lasting.
