Texas Tech golfers Maja Ambroziak, Cameron Freund and Denisa Vodickova earned CSC Academic All-District honors after standout work on and off course.
Texas Tech women’s golf just put three names on a list that doesn’t come easy.
Maja Ambroziak, Cameron Freund and Denisa Vodickova were selected to the 2026 Academic All-District® Women’s At-Large Team by College Sports Communicators, giving the Red Raiders another win that goes well beyond the scorecard.
This isn’t a participation trophy. The CSC honor is built for student-athletes who handle business in competition and in the classroom, and the academic bar is high.
Undergraduate nominees must carry at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, while golf nominees also have to be regular contributors in team scoring events or part of the conference championship lineup.
Ambroziak didn’t just clear the standard. She crushed it.
The junior accounting major owns a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA and earned Academic All-District recognition for the second straight season.
That kind of consistency is exactly why she continues to stand out as one of Texas Tech’s most complete student-athletes.
Freund brought her own impressive resume to the table. The junior mechanical engineering major holds a 3.72 GPA, balancing one of the toughest academic tracks on campus with the demands of Big 12 golf.
This marks the first Academic All-District honor of her career.
Vodickova also made an immediate impression in Lubbock. The sophomore transfer, who arrived after spending her freshman season at Wake Forest, posted a 3.75 GPA while studying Arts and Sciences Multidisciplinary Studies with concentrations in English, history and political science.
Like Freund, she earned the honor for the first time.
For Texas Tech, this is the kind of recognition that says plenty about the program’s standards. Winning rounds matters, but so does building athletes who can thrive away from the course.
Ambroziak, Freund and Vodickova are doing both.
