The new campaign by the Green Wave allows donors to contribute based on success on the field, including wins, strikeouts and home runs.

As the Tulane Green Wave baseball team gears up for another big year on the diamond, the program is launching an innovative campaign to bring in funding throughout the season.

On Wednesday, Tulane announced the Pledge Per Win campaign, which gives fans and donors a chance to make a direct impact on the program, all based on results. Donors can pledge to donate a certain amount of funds for every win, strikeout and home run on the season. It's a unique way to contribute to the program, while also ensuring that donations correlate directly with success on the field. Additionally, the first 100 people who join the campaign will receive a unique Sluggerbirds-engraved bat.

If this season goes anything like the previous few have, then donors can expect to open up their pocketbooks fairly often. The Green Wave went 33-25 in 2025, with the season ultimately ending in a heartbreaking loss in the conference tournament championship game. 2023 and 2024 proved to be even bigger years for the program, as head coach Jay Uhlman led the team to the NCAA Tournament twice; Tulane reached the Baton Rouge Regional in 2023 and the Corvallis Regional in 2024.

The Green Wave also returns plenty of production from its 2025 team, both on the mound and in the batters box. As a whole, the program totaled 51 home runs and 547 strikeouts last season -- impressive numbers that can improve even further.

Tanner Chun led the team with eight home runs in his freshman campaign, and Matthias Haas, James Agabedis and Jason Wachs each had strong seasons at the plate. These four key returns will be looking to lead the team offensively, but there's plenty of freshmen and sophomore power that will be stepping onto the field. With big bats scattered up and down the lineup, it's very possible that the team can deliver even more homers this season.

Tulane has lost a bit more production from last season on the pitcher's mound, but some key returners will be looking to make a big step forward this season. Graduate student Trey Cehajic was one of the team's most prolific pitchers last year, ending the season with a 5-2 record and 57 strikeouts. Likewise, graduate Will Clements and redshirt-senior Blaise Wilcenski showed promise last season and will look to build off of that.

The Green Wave has also brought in a handful of transfer pitchers that showed potential at their previous schools. The revamped starting rotation and bullpen could be just what the team needs to make a big impact on the mound and put up plenty of strikeouts.

The donations through the Pledge Per Win campaign can get rolling as early as Friday. Tulane will head to take on the Loyola Marymount Lions in Opening Day action, with first pitch set for 8 p.m. CT from Los Angeles.
