In all, 17 former UConn women's basketball players made WNBA teams for the new season.

The WNBA’s historic 30th season opens Friday night with 17 former UConn players on team rosters.

Through WNBA history, the Huskies have had 52 players drafted – and all 52 went on to play in the league.

The additions to the UConn/WNBA family this season are guard Azzi Fudd, the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft by the Dallas Wings, and center Serah Williams, selected No. 33. She is playing for the Portland Fire, who joined the Toronto Tempo as expansion teams this season.

Huskies in the WNBA

How to see the WNBA’s Huskies in person

The easiest way to watch the UConn alumni live and in person – if you’re a local fan – is to venture to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville when the Connecticut Sun host one of the teams with a rostered player.

Take advantage of the convenient opportunity now. This is anticipated to be the Sun’s final season in Uncasville before the franchise is sold and relocated to Houston. League owners have yet to approve the move.

Bueckers, Fudd and the Wings will visit the Sun only one this season – July 2.

Here is the Sun’s home schedule:
