Navarro Bowman Jr. is one of the top recruits in the Class of 2027.
NaVorro Bowman Jr., the son of former San Francisco 49ers star NaVorro Bowman, is set to visit the University of Connecticut men's basketball program later this summer.
As noted by Sam Kayser, Bowman will visit The Huskies on Sept. 4 before visiting Illinois on Sept. 10, Texas on Sept. 19 and Arizona on Sept. 25.
A five-star recruit from the Class of 2027, Bowman is one of the top recruits in the country.
Listed as a 6-foot-3 guard from Sherman Oaks, Calif., Bowman won a gold medal with the 2026 FIBA U17 team at the World Cup. In seven games, he scored 11.9 ppg while dishing out 3.6 assists and pulling down 2.7 rebounds.
While UConn is certainly the furthest East of any of the schools that Bowman is talking to right now, it's noteworthy that he's also visiting Texas and Illinois, also a considerable ways away from home, showing that he is willing to travel away from California.

--One of the people who will soon assist in the recruiting of Bowman is Charlie Stevens, who is set to be hired as the next general manager of the UConn program. Stevens has spent the last five years working with the San Antonio Spurs and also has experience internationally.
His hiring should be finalized this week.
--Speaking of top recruits, the UConn women's basketball program is set to get a visit from top 2027 recruit Finley Parcher of Washington. She is set to visit the Huskies in November, but has six other West Coast schools in her top seven, meaning that Geno Auriemma's team could be in for a tough battle.
--The UConn women released their official non-conference schedule for the season on Monday. It's an incredibly challenging schedule that features only four true home games and multiple neutral-site games. While UConn will still be expected to navigate it well, it's going to provide a real challenge as the group works to win another national championship this season.
