

After a 9-3 regular season, the University of Connecticut football team will take on Army in the Fenway Bowl, to be played at Fenway Park on Dec. 27.
The game will kick off at 2:15 p.m. ET.
This is the second consecutive year that UConn will play in the Fenway Bowl, as they beat North Carolina 27-14 in 2024. Bill Belichick was not the coach for UNC at that time.
Nearly 28,000 people attended the 2024 contest as the Huskies won. UConn was up 24-7 at the half and never looked back as quarterback Joe Fagnano went 16-of-23 for 151 yards and two touchdowns. The Huskies ran for more than 200 yards as a team, with Jayden Brown going for 96 yards and Cam Edwards going for 74 and a touchdown.
The Huskies went 9-3, going unbeaten in regulation. The only losses came in overtime against Syracuse, Rice and Delaware.
They most recently played on Nov. 22 against Florida Atlantic, meaning they will have had more than a month off between games.
Head coach Jim Mora used the success of this UConn team to land his next job, taking the vacant position at Colorado State. His successor at Connecticut is Jason Candle, formerly the head coach at Toledo of the MAC.
The Black Knights are 6-5 this season, and they went 4-4 in the American Conference. They still have one regular season game remaining as they'll take on Navy in the biggest game of the season next Saturday, Dec. 13.
While Connecticut will have a month off before the bowl game, Army will have just one bye week.
Army's losses this season came to Tarleton State, North Texas, Tulane, East Carolina and Tulsa. They won a rivalry game against Air Force and beat Kansas State of the Big 12, proving they should not be taken lightly.
The Fenway Bowl has been played four times, including 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

2022: Louisville 24, Cincinnati 7
2021: No bowl game because of COVID-19
2020: Memphis 25, Florida Atlantic 10
The University of Connecticut women's basketball team routed DePaul 102-35 on Sunday afternoon. Sarah Strong had 20 points and Azzi Fudd had 16. The Huskies are 9-0 on the young season.
The UConn men's basketball team will take on nationally-ranked Florida on Tuesday night.
