With the NFL Draft just over a month away, there will be another chance on Tuesday for NFL teams to get a look at the likes of Joe Fagnano and Skyler Bell.

The University of Connecticut football program has set its Pro Day for Tuesday, which means that NFL teams will have another chance to get a coordinated look at former Huskies standouts Joe Fagnano and Skyler Bell, who are both hoping to have their names called in the NFL Draft (April 23-25).

Of course, all draft-eligible Huskies will be on display at the annual event, but Bell and Fagnano will garner the most attention. Bell is one of the most exciting wide receiver prospects in the entire draft and both Field Yates and Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN are high on him heading into the event.

Both players participated in the NFL Combine, but Pro Day will be an opportunity to reaffirm or change perceptions of certain scouts, coaches and executives.

About Bell's 2025 season

The Huskies went 9-4 in 2025, earning a spot in the Fenway Bowl, and Bell was a major reason for the success under previous head coach Jim Mora.

He was named an All-American after amassing 101 catches for 1,278 yards, and he became the first-ever Associated Press First-Team All-American in program history. He was also a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the best pass catcher in the nation.

He was one of only two players in the country to have 100 catches or more and was one of only three players to have 1,200 yards or more. His 13 touchdowns were second nationally. He out-performed the likes of Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State), who is regarded as the best receiver in the country.

About Bell's NFL Combine

As noted in a previous piece by our own Jami Leabow, Bell was charted as the No. 10 receiver at the combine.

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds with a 10-yard split of 1.53 seconds. His vertical jump was 41 inches, with a broad jump of 11 feet and 1 inch.

The top 40 time for a wide receiver was 4.26 by Brenen Thompson of Mississippi State.

Bell’s total score was 77.

About Fagnano's 2025

Fagnano actually spent seven seasons in college (2019-25), taking full advantage of redshirt years and COVID exemptions. He played four years at the University of Maine and then spent three years at UConn, serving as the starter in 2024 and 2025. This past season, he completed 69 percent of his passes for 3,448 yards. He had 28 touchdowns against just one interception and a passer rating of 161.0.

About his combine

Per Leabow:

"At the combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.83 seconds with a 10-yard split of 1.67 seconds. His vertical jump was 35 inches, with a broad jump of 9 feet and 10 inches. He was officially measured at 6-3, 226 pounds.

The top 40 time for a quarterback belonged to Taylen Green of Arkansas at 4.37.

Fagnano’s total score was 70."
