The former Huskies star already had her No. 3 jersey retired by the Phoenix Mercury, and now she's added another honor to her list.
Earlier this summer, former UConn Huskies women's basketball star Diana Taurasi had her No. 3 retired by the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury.
And on Thursday, Taurasi learned that she's getting another honor added to her resume. She was named as one of the inductees for the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame's Class of 2027. The other inductees are Sandy Brondello, Mike Thibault, Dee Kantner, Dr. Judith Holland and Molly Bolin Kazmer.
Taurasi will become the ninth person with UConn ties to get into the Hall of Fame, joining Geno Auriemma, Rebecca Lobo, Jennifer Rizzotti, Kara Wolters, Chris Dailey, Swin Cash, Maya Moore and Sue Bird.
