Ice Brady played in two games this season because of knee issues.

Now-former University of Connecticut women's basketball player Ice Brady announced she was transferring when the portal period opened up this year, and on Sunday, she revealed that she will continue her career at Florida State.

She made the announcement on Instagram and it was relayed by Storrs Central. Brady played in only two games this season because of knee issues. She redshirted in her freshman season at UConn because of injuries and will need to apply for a second redshirt.

If she is granted one, she'll have two years of eligibility left in Tallahassee. If not, she'll only have one.

About Brady

A native of San Diego, Calif., Brady has played in 73 career games, helping UConn win the national title in 2024-25. She played in 39 games as a redshirt freshman (2023-24), averaging 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. As a redshirt sophomore she averaged 3.6 ppg in 32 games as the Huskies won the title.

She scored 2.5 ppg in her two games this past season. The Huskies advanced to the Final Four but were beaten by South Carolina.

Though Brady's numbers won't stand out, it is yet another tough loss for Geno Auriemma's team. Senior standout Azzi Fudd has graduated and just earned the No. 1 pick in the WNBA Draft. Serah Williams is also gone to the WNBA and Ayannah Patterson has transferred.

Also on campus

--The UConn men's basketball team hosted Wofford transfer Nils Machowski for an on-campus visit on Saturday. He averaged more than 17 ppg for the Terriers and would be a nice replacement at the guard spot for Solo Ball, who will miss the entire season with wrist surgery.

We covered by Machowski would - and would not - make sense for the Huskies roster more in depth here.

--The NFL Draft has concluded and the Huskies saw one alum get taken: All-American wide receiver Skyler Bell was selected in the fourth round by the Buffalo Bills, meaning he'll get a chance to play with MVP quarterback Josh Allen.

Unfortunately, quarterback Joe Fagnano was not selected, but he will attend rookie minicamp with the Baltimore Ravens. Multiple Huskies players will get NFL opportunities as undrafted free agents and we'll have more on that at UConn Roundtable.
