Jedd Fisch named the keys for the Huskies to win their third consecutive Big Ten win against the Wolverines

The Washington Huskies football team are coming off two statement wins in Big Ten play the last two weeks.

The Huskies beat the Maryland Terrapins 24-20 on Oct. 4 and beat the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Oct. 10.

Washington had a multi-possession deficit in both wins before coming back to win. The win against Maryland was the Huskies' first road Big Ten win since Jedd Fisch was hired as head coach before the 2024 season.

Huskies sophomore quarterback Demond Williams Jr. set a school record with 538 total yards (402 passing yards, 136 rushing yards) against the Scarlet Knights.

The pair of wins improved Washington's record to 5-1 on the season (2-1 in the Big Ten) and the team received votes in the latest Associated Press (AP) Top 25 poll.

The Huskies will look to win a third-straight Big Ten win in this week's Big Noon Kickoff game at 9 a.m. PT/noon on Saturday at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.

"It'll be awesome," Washington coach Jedd Fisch said in a post by the team's official account on "X" on Friday. "Whether's gonna be beautiful, it's gonna be a packed house. Probably gonna be 110, 111,000 people there. Whatever the number is. And we're excited about it. We're excited about waking up and playing. ... (Michigan's) a culture of toughness and physicality. You can see that with this team. They're gonna play awfully hard on defense and on offense they're gonna pound you and they got a really good quarterback. They're gonna try and be physical on all three phases."

The Huskies' offense has been one of the best in the Big Ten the entire season, balance with a balanced passing attack led by Williams and a solid ground game from senior running back Jonah Coleman led by one of the best-graded offensive lines in the country.

Fisch is keen on having the offense continue its formula for success against the Wolverines.

"I think for us, we just got to go be us," Fisch said. "We don't need to go try be somebody else. We don't need to try to make it different than what we've been playing recently. So we're gonna go out there, we're gonna try and play our best game, play physical. Do what we do on offense, defense and special teams and hopefully be able to execute at the highest level."
