The Huskies were up 28-0 at the half and never looked back in a 49-13 rout at Husky Stadium.

Coming off a disappointing loss against Wisconsin last week, the University of Washington football team earned a dominant victory over Purdue on Saturday night at Husky Stadium.

The 49-13 win moves the Huskies to 7-3 overall (4-3 Big 10), while Purdue fell to 2-9 (0-8 Big 10).

Here's what you need to know:

Offense seems some new stars emerge

With Jonah Coleman out because of a knee injury, the Huskies got some notable contributions from other rushing sources in this one. Jordan Washington ran five times for 108 yards and a touchdown while Adam Mohammed had three touchdowns on 17 carries.

Denzel Boston also didn't play for Jedd Fisch's team, meaning that tight end Decker DeGraaf had a chance to shine. He had five catches for 91 yards. Audric Harris had 90 yards and a touchdown on two catches.

    Inside the numbers

--Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. continued his solid season for the Huskies, going 16-of-19 through the air for 257 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran it seven times for 23 yards.

--Washington gained 294 yards in the passing game and 212 in the rushing game. They ran it 40 times in total.

--The Huskies dominated on third down, going 7-of-10 offensively. Purdue did manage 5-of-14 on third down themselves, but they were 1-of-3 on fourth down, meaning they were 6-of-17 in 3rd and 4th down situations.

--Washington completed 13.4 yards per pass while Purdue completed just 4.9.

--Both teams had one turnover in the contest, and Washington had four penalties compared to Purdue's seven.

--The Huskies led 28-0 at the half and never looked back.

    Biggest storyline

The emergence of new offensive weapons for the Huskies. Coleman and Boston are two of the best players in the Big 10, and to win without them shows a real depth of roster.

Even with the big performance, Washington only has 19 carries for the season, while Mohammed only has 69 now. DeGraaf, with 91 yards, nearly picked up a third of his total season yardage in this one game. He now has 281 yards. A sophomore, he could be a big part of the offense in 2026. The same could be said for Harris, also a sophomore, who had only two catches coming into the night.

    Area for improvement

Health. Washington can't be at their best without Coleman and Boston. It's as simple as that.

    What's next

The Huskies have two regular season games remaining. They will take on UCLA next Saturday before wrapping up at home against Oregon in a rivalry contest. Washington is seventh in the Big 10, as of this writing.
