Washington will take on No. 1 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon at Husky Stadium. They've met six times previously, with the Huskies winning one of two matchups in Seattle. 

The University of Washington Huskies will kick off the Big 10 portion of its schedule on Saturday afternoon when it takes on the Ohio State Buckeyes at Husky Stadium.

Both teams enter at 3-0, but Washington is unranked, while the defending champion Buckeyes are No. 1 in the nation. They've already beaten previously No. 1 Texas, while Washington has yet to be tested against Colorado State, UC Davis and Washington State.

The two programs have met six times before, and this will be the first meeting between the two as conference rivals. Washington just joined the Big 10 in 2024.

So how has Washington done against Ohio State in the past? They are 1-5 in six all-time meetings.

Jan. 1, 2019: Rose Bowl (Ohio State 28, Washington 23)

The Buckeyes won the Rose Bowl to move to 13-1 on the season, while Washington fell to 10-4. Husky quarterback Jake Browning went 35-for-54 for 313 yards while running back Myles Gaskin ran for 121 total yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side, Dwayne Haskins went 25-for-37 with three touchdowns for Ohio State and JK Dobbins ran for 24 yards and a touchdown.

Sept. 15, 2007: (Ohio State 33, Washington 14) played in Seattle

Buckeyes quarterback Todd Boeckman threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while Chris "Beanie" Wells for 135 yards. Ohio State was ranked No. 10 nationally. Former Washington quarterback Jake Locker went 16-for-33 for 153 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

Aug. 30, 2003: (Ohio State 28, Washington 9) played in Columbus

Maurice Hall ran for an early touchdown and Ohio State never looked back, eventually taking a 21-0 lead. The Huskies did get a late touchdown pass from Cody Pickett.

Sept. 16, 1995: (Ohio State 30, Washington 20) played in Columbus

The Huskies were ranked 18th for this meeting, with Ohio State entering as No. 10. Bobby Hoying threw for 192 yards and two scores, while Washington QB Damon Huard was 19-for-26 with a touchdown and a pick. Leon Neal had 169 yards from scrimmage in the loss. Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George ran for 212 yards and two scores in the win.

Sept. 10, 1994 (Washington 25, Ohio State 16) played in Seattle

The lone win in the rivalry saw standout running back Napolean Kaufman run for 211 yards and a touchdown, while Huard threw for 134 more and a score.

Sept. 11, 1993 (Ohio State 21, Washington 12) played in Columbus
