The Washington Huskies football team didn't have a great end to the regular season.
The Huskies fell to the No. 6 Oregon Ducks 26-14 on Nov. 29 and concluded the regular season 8-4 in their second year under head coach Jedd Fisch.
Despite the ending to the season, Washington was able to have success on the recruiting front in recent days.
On Tuesday, the Huskies flipped four-star receiver Jordan Clay from Baylor.
Clay, who's 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, had over 30 D-I offers according to 247Sports, including Miami, Missouri, Notre Dame, Texas, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, UCLA, Illinois, Arkansas and others.
Clay, who attends high school at San Antonio Madison in San Antonio, Texas, is the 129th-ranked player in the class of 2026 according to 247Sports. He's listed as the 17th-best receiver in the country and 18th-ranked player from Texas.
Clay originally committed to Baylor on July 11, but continued to take official and unofficial visits with other programs. He took an official visit with Washington on Nov. 15 and was offered by the program the same day.
Clay took another unofficial visit with the Huskies the weekend of the Oregon game, according to a story from Sam Spiegelman of Rivals.com.
“They have made me and my family feel great," Clay said in Spiegelman's story. "They treated us as good as they possibly could, and the fans there treated me great, too. ... I love the offense and how Coach (Jedd) Fisch calls the plays. I love the place and the atmosphere, and the coaching staff is amazing all the way down to the trainers!”
Clay is the latest 2026 recruit for Washington, who are putting together one of the best classes in the country.
The Huskies landed three-star defensive lineman and Washington native Ramzak Fruean on Monday.
Fruean originally committed to UCLA on June 6 but decomitted Sept. 14 after the Bruins fired head coach DeShaun Foster. Fruean is ranked as the fourth-best player in Washington and the 48th-best linebacker in the country.
Currently, Washington's 2026 recruiting class ranks 13th in the country, according to 247Sports. Clay is the ninth four-star recruit of the class.
