The Huskies will take on Boise State on Saturday night at SoFi Stadium.

After seeing the Los Angeles Chargers defeat the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will be home to the University of Washington football team on Saturday night as the Huskies take on Boise State in the LA Bowl.

As noted by Roundtable Sports National Editor-in-Chief Tom Brew, the Huskies are eight-point favorites over the Broncos entering the contest. The odds were provided from Fanduel.

    Kickoff is 5 p.m. PT.

    About the LA Bowl

--The LA Bowl is being played on the first day of bowl season, with the Celebration Bowl serving as the only other bowl game on Dec. 13. Army-Navy will close out the college football regular season that day also, and that kicks off at noon P.T.

--This is the fifth installment of the LA Bowl, which began in 2021. It is sponsored by a person or group of people, and this year's is sponsored by former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronk has been part of a previous sponsorship group, while Jimmy Kimmel also sponsored two games.

--In 2024, UNLV defeated Cal 24-13. In 2023, UCLA defeated Boise State 35-22. The 2022 version saw Fresno State beat Washington State 29-6 and in 2021, Utah State defeated Oregon State 24-13.

    About the Huskies

Washington finished the regular season 8-4 with losses against three Top-25 teams (Ohio State, Michigan and Oregon). Armed with an explosive offense, the Huskies are led by quarterback Demond Williams Jr., running back Jonah Coleman and receiver Denzel Boston.

Washington did not play on Dec. 6, so they will have had a bye week to prepare for the Broncos.

    About Boise State

One of the prouder programs on the West Coast, the Broncos went 9-4 this regular season, including a 6-2 record in conference play.

The only losses for them came against South Florida (34-7), Notre Dame (28-7), Fresno State (30-7), and San Diego State (17-7).

They defeated UNLV 38-21 on Friday night in the Mountain West Conference championship game. Maddux Madsen threw for 289 yards and three scores while the Broncos ran for 171 yards as a team. Because of the contest on Friday night, the Broncos will not have had as much time to prepare for the matchup as the Huskies.

Boise State is joining the re-worked Pac-12 Conference for the next academic year. They will join previous Pac-12 members in Washington State and Oregon State in rebuilding the conference.
