National Signing Day took place for football programs across the country Wednesday. The day doesn't hold the same weight as before due to the rise of the transfer portal and coaching volatility in modern college football. Despite this, it's still an important day on the calendar that can help define programs for years to come.
And that could be the case for the Washington Huskies.
The Dawgs inked several players in their 2026 recruiting class. After the players "officially" committed to head coach Jedd Fisch and the Huskies, the university cemented the 13th-best recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports.
That is the highest-rated recruiting class Washington has ever had in its football program's history.
The Huskies' 2026 class consists of 23 players who've signed letters of intent: one five-star player, 10 four-stars and 12 three-stars. The class has a composite ranking of 89.59 (on a scale of 1-100).
Washington has the fifth-best recruiting class in the Big Ten, according to 247Sports. Conference opponents above the Huskies are: USC (No. 1), Oregon (No. 2), Ohio State (No. 6) and Michigan (No. 11).
