Tre Moore will be joining the Huskies amidst offers from other notable programs such as Miami and Ohio State
The Washington Huskies football team earned a major win on the 2027 recruiting trail.
The Huskies landed one of the best wide receivers in the '27 class, Tre Moore, who chose UW over other two finalists, the Miami Hurricanes and Ohio State Buckeyes on Tuesday.
Moore (Pflugerville, Texas) commanded an incredible offer list including the aforementioned three, Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Illinois and Michigan among others.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound wide receiver attends Weiss High School where he had a dominant junior season this past fall.
Moore finished the 2025 campaign with 85 catches for 1,443 yards and 19 touchdowns in 10 games for the Wolves.
Moore is ranked as the 160th-best overall player, 21st-best wide receiver and 22nd-best player in Texas in the Class of 2027 per the 247Sports composite.
Per On3 Sports' rankings, Moore is ranked as the 171st best player in the nation, the 26th-best wide receiver and 23rd-best player in the state.
Moore became the 16th overall commitment for Washington in the '27 recruiting class. He's the highest-ranked overall player in the class, slightly ahead of four-star defensive lineman Jon Ioane (185th overall player per 247Sports composite).
Moore joining UW is also another feather in the cap of wide receiver coach Kevin Cummings as a recruiter. Cummings also flipped four-star wide receiver Jordan Clay from Baylor in the 2026 recruiting class, and he's expected to be a potential true freshman contributor on the team next season.
Following Moore's commitment, the Huskies' '27 recruiting class ranks 16th in the country, according to 247Sports. He's the third wide receiver to commit in the class, joining four-star Zerek Sidney (Ariz.) and three-star Braylon Pope (Wash.)
Moore committed to UW despite having a series of official visits lined up. Per 247Sports, Moore was set to visit Miami on June 5, Texas A&M on June 12 and UW on June 19.
The 15 teams ranked ahead of Washington per the website are, in order: Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Miami, Notre Dame, Florida, Clemson, Penn State, UCLA, Southern California (USC), Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Minnesota, Kentucky, Michigan and Oregon.
Moore could be the first in a series of commitments for the Huskies in the coming days.
Washington spent this past weekend hosting several recruiting targets, including four-star wide receiver Dontay Tyson Jr., four-star cornerback Kamil Loud, four-star safety/cornerback Jailen Hill and three-star edge rusher Chaz Gray.
Currently, the Huskies are the favorites to land Tyson (96.9% odds to land him) and Gray (31.7%) per Rivals.com's prediction model.
Another Washington recruiting target, defensive back Jeovanni Henley (cousin of former Washington State Cougars and current Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley) will be announcing his commitment June 6. He'll be choosing from a final five including the Huskies, Cal, BYU, Texas and Penn State.
