The Washington Huskies football team has had a noticeably better performance on the recruiting trail since since Jedd Fisch was hired ahead of the 2024 season.

Fisch and the rest of the coaching staff inked the best class in program history in 2026. It ranked 12th in the country, per 247Sports.

The Huskies have continued their strong recruiting for the crop of 2027 graduates. The class currently ranks in 22nd in the country according to 247Sports rankings.

One of the recent successes for Washington was landing three-star offensive tackle Tye Kennedy.

On top of being a versatile offensive lineman who will likely be able to be developed on the interior or outside of the line, he's also the son of one of the best players in Washington history, former All-American Lincoln Kennedy.

The Huskies have been able to successfully keep purple and gold bloodlines within the program, from both the past and present. Punter Hunter Green transferred to Washington from San Diego State this past offseason. His father, Phil Green, was a former walk-on punter with the program.

Class of '26 recruits, Derek Colman-Brusa and Kodi Greene, both of whom are projected to be starters as true freshmen, have siblings on the roster.

The Huskies will be looking to keep bloodlines on Montlake in the Class of 2028 with one of the most notable names in UW athletics history.

Four-star Class of 2028 quarterback Titus Huard, son of former Washington quarterback Brock Huard, was extended an offer from the program back in January and might be the most obtainable quarterback on UW's radar.

The Huskies have extended offers to other notable Class of '28 signal-callers, including Detroit-based player and five-star Donald Tabron II, but the amount of programs in on those players could make it difficult for Washington to land them.

Huard's familial ties to the Huskies could make them a front-runner to earn a commitment. Although, according to an article written by 247Sports' Collin Kennedy, Huard is not near making a final list.

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound quarterback is ranked as the 174th-best overall player, 11th-best quarterback and second-best player in Colorado in the class, per the 247Sports composite.

Another thing that could be working in UW's favor is the fact that one of Huard's former teammates at Valor Christian High School in Littleton, Colo., three-star Class of 2027 interior offensive lineman Reis Russell, is committed to the Huskies.

In addition to his father, the younger Huard's uncle (Damon Huard) and cousin (Sam Huard) also played with Washington. Titus Huard's sister, Macey Huard, transferred to the Huskies women's basketball team this offseason.

These connections will work in favor of the Huskies as Titus Huard also has offers from several other notable programs, including Ohio State, Oregon, SMU, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, among others.
