The Huskies football team are trying to land three-star 2027 quarterback Caden Jones, who already has an offer from UW's men's basketball team.

The Washington Huskies football team has already landed one of the best quarterbacks in the Class of 2027 in Desert Edge High School signal-caller Blake Roskopf.

Roskopf is ranked as the 152nd-best overall player, 12th-best quarterback and fourth best player from Arizona in the class, per the 247Sports Composite. He also has a built in connection with another Washington commit — four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney, who also attends Desert Edge High School.

Despite that built-in quarterback-to-connection the Huskies now have in the '27 class, the team is reportedly targeting another signal-caller who could also end up suiting up on the hardwood, as well.

Three-star Class of '27 quarterback Caden Jones recently shared a post on "X" showing him with Washington quarterback coach JP Losman.

Losman was on a visit with Jones and attended practice with the soon-to-be high school graduate.

According to a post on "X" from SeaTown Sports reporter Kevin Cacabelos, landing Jones is a "priority" for Washington, which is looking to have a multi-quarterback class by pairing him with Roskopf.

If Jones were to head to Montlake, it might not just be with the football team that he dons the purple and gold for.

Jones also plays basketball and has been extended an offer from UW men's basketball coach Danny Sprinkle.

Jones is listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds and attends Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, Calif.

On the gridiron, Jones completed 77% of his passes for 2,787 yards, 29 touchdowns and zero interceptions across 10 games his junior year this past fall. He could have posted even better stats, but was pulled after the first half in five of the games he played.

Jones is ranked as the 580th-best player, 36th-best quarterback and 46th-best player in California in the Class of '27, per the 247Sports Composite.

On the basketball side, Jones also has an offer from the university in his hometown, the UC Irvine Tritons.

When it comes to football, Jones will be considering the Huskies among other notable programs, including: Georgia, Kentucky, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, Missouri, Louisville, Texas A&M, Michigan and Oklahoma, among others.

Jones will take an official visit to UW from June 5-7.

Washington currently has the 12th-ranked recruiting class in the country, per 247Sports. The 11 teams ranked ahead of the Huskies are, in order: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UCLA, Southern California (USC), Florida, Notre Dame, Penn State, Oregon, Ohio State, Miami and Kentucky.
